Vintage Celluloid Santa & Sleigh + 9 Reindeer Plastic Christmas Decoration Japan

  
This charming figurine of Santa and a sleigh with 9 reindeer is a stunning piece of Christmas decoration that we bought at an estate sale 40 years ago and recently found it again as we were rearranging our utility room. Crafted in the 1950s, this vintage piece is the original and comes from Japan, at least the Santa and sleigh is marked Japan. It's depicting Santa on a journey to spread the holiday cheer. Santa and sleigh are made from celluloid plastic. Not quite sure about the plastic reindeer.

They're all hand painted to perfection making an attractive piece of art with a charming look. The colorful design is perfect for collectors and enthusiasts of vintage 20th century. The Santa and sleigh are celluloid and I'm not quite sure if the other reindeer are made of celluloid or plastic. All could use a dusting or light cleaning.
