Vintage 1940's Santa Japan, Hand Painted Clay Face Santa on Sled, Reindeer. Materials: cardboard, clay, cotton, chenille, foil, sisal, cloth. Nice old 1940's Santa, hand painted clay face, cotton beard, black composite boots. Red cloth suit with white chenille trim. He's in a pink covered cardboard sled.

Bottom of sleigh is marked: MADE IN JAPAN. Santa is approximately 4 1/2 inches tall in sitting position. Sled is 8 inches in length.

Vintage condition with overall wear, stains and soiling. Has darkened with age, cotton beard has soiling.
