Title: It Must Be St. Chromolithography, an antique printing method in which each individual color (oil-based ink) was applied separately to the paper using a series of hand-prepared stones.

ORIGINAL chromolithograph illustration from A Visit From Santa Claus. Published by White, Stokes and Klein of New York. We have triple-matted this piece in ivory with a gold accent mat. All matboard and backing materials are acid-free.

The print is hinged into place using Filmoplast P-90, an archival quality picture hinging tape. The frame is a 1 ¼ wide gesso-over-wood frame in a soft smoky brown with gold highlights, pebbled texture with inner gold beading. With frame, the piece measures 12 ½" wide by 14 ½" high, visible portion measures 12" wide by 10" high, actual image size is 5 ½" wide by 7 ¼" high. Condition is EXCELLENT - no tears, stains, creases, foxing or other visible signs of damage.
