Rare Antique German Santa Sleigh Moving Reindeer Metal Penny Toy

  

A very rare old penny toy. Santa Claus riding in his sleigh and pulled by two reindeer. When pushed, the wheel causes the reindeer to lift and prance individually each side. The toy is mostly metal that a magnet sticks to. The reindeer and tree are soft lead and Santa is a heavy type pottery with lead metal boots.

The piece is covered in gold crushed glass and it is mixed with rust and coming off in many places. Santa is missing his right arm and the tree is missing foliage. This toy measures about 6 inches long by 1.25 inches wide. It is not marked but was most likely made in Germany, Late 19th - early 20th century. All items I sell are vintage and most are antique.
