OUTSTANDING. Antique Chocolate Mold 19 ANTON REICHE Santa Sleigh & Reindeer

  

19" long and 10" tall. Marked "26980", "Weygandt" and "Made in Germany".

Incredibly hard to find; this is a beautiful large banquet piece. The larger "window display" molds were not produced in large numbers like the smaller ones, so fewer are in existence today. This particular piece, it is said that it is extremely rare among the larger molds.

I have personally only come across this one in 35 years collecting. Please note that this mold has some sort of metal silver coating (unsure what the material actually is) that someone put over the surfaces of the mold. I have been able to remove sections, but not all of it. It can peel off, but not easily, and requires time and effort. I'm uncertain if there is some chemical that would take it off, but I had not tried that.

An absolutely outstanding collection piece. Mold has scratches and marks/aged metal (the layer beneath), as expected for a mold this age. Signature upon receipt will be required and package will be fully insured.
