German, seated Santa / Sleigh /real fur Reindeer, late 19th century, VERY RARE

  
THIS ITEM WAS VIEWED BY AND DEEMED AUTHENTIC BY KEN FARMER, AN APPRAISER, (FROM PBS "ANTIQUES ROADSHOW"), AT AN EVENT HELD IN HANOVER COUNTY, VA, ON APRIL OF 2017. German, seated Santa / Sleigh /real fur Reindeer. Ate 19th to early 20th century. Santa is seated in a wicker sleigh trimmed with lichen moss. The reindeer has full harness with reins being held in Santa's hand. Santa is in very good condition with a nice face. The reindeer has real fur and is in good condition, except the nose. A few ornamentals are missing from the harness.

The contents of the sleigh are Christmas trees. NOTE: The owner is not sure if all the trees are original. The sleigh's left side, front and back are in very good condition; however the right side is badly damaged. The sleigh piece is 18" long, 9" at its widest and 8 at its tallest. The reindeer is 12" long, 12" high (Plus 6" high antlers) and 4" wide.
