Antique Vintage Paper Mache Belsnickle German Santa Lg Log Wood Sleigh +Reindeer

  

The Santa & Sleigh are currently on sale till the listing ends. Antique Vintage Santa Riding in a Snowy Large Wooden Log Sleigh w/ gifts and Pulled by a Paper Mache Reindeer. The Santa is of German origin and is unmarked, the Sleigh has a faint made in Germany stamp on the bottom.

The Santa is made of paper mache or composition and is hand painted with a rabbit fur beard and moustache and he has a Red Felt Jacket and Blue Felt Pants with Black painted composition boots. The Santa has a goose feather tree sprig in one hand and his hands and legs have wires in them to give him the ability to sit. All items can be removed including the Santa. In the back of the Sleigh is an Old Green Blown Glass Ornament, Wooden Erzgebirge House, Wood Horse, Celluloid Doll, Small Tree, Package with new Dresden Paper Trim and Scrap Santa Picture, I tied a handmade candy decoration on the side of the Sleigh. The Santa if straightened out would be approx 5-1/2" long, the Sleigh is approx 9" long to the runner, 3-1/4" tall and approx 2-1/12" wide and with the Santa in it is approx 5-1/2 tall. The Reindeer is approx 4-1/4 long without the reins in the measurement and he was sanded when I got him so he has been repainted.
