1890's 16 3/4 L GERMAN Polar Bear Pulling Santa ClausTreeToysSleigh
Muscular Polar Bear Pulling Santa & Sleigh. W Christmas Tree, Angel Playing her Violin next to two Hand Carved Ezinberge Toy Animals.
He has a long spun cotton robe, and hood, with paper dots on the front, and he is carrying feather tree sprigs. He has an early embossed die-cut "scrap" face which is very detailed. There is some age wear on the Santa's cotton.
Is 6 3/4 Long, and has original red painted tin with gold stencil, wooden riding handle that moves the metal wheels, and a moss green velvet seat. In the back of sled there is a paper mache Christmas tree, and m. Iniature Angel playing her violin next to two Erzgebirge toy hand carved animals. Stands 6" tall and 10" Long (nose to tail). He is very realistic looking with amber glass eyes, a glossy nose and teeth. His body is hard and covered in course fuzz which feels fur like. There are some slight balding patches on his body which actually make him look more realistic His coloring is white with some yellowing to it.
